Butler calls-up 27 local players for training ahead of qualifiers

Liberia head coach Peter Butler has called-up 27 local players to resume training ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria in Lagos on 3 September and the Central African Republic in Paynesville on 7 September.

The training began behind closed doors at the Samuel Kanyon Doe sports complex practice pitch on 13 August.

Ghana-based midfielder Varney Sando and Albania-based striker Van Dave Harmon are also training with the locals.

Liberia lost 1-0 to Mauritania on 11 June and defeated Libya 1-0 on 14 June at the Stade Chedly Zouiten in Tunis, Tunisia and lost 5-1 to Algeria at the new Olympic Stadium in Oran on 17 June.
