Amid reported cases of “EBOLA VIRUS” in neighboring Ivory Coast and Guinea, Liberia’s Ministry of Health in collaboration with NPHIL to vaccinate over four thousand, three hundred-thirty-nine health care workers with Ebola Vaccines
The ministry of health in collaboration with the national public health institute is expected this Friday to begin rolling out the Ebola virus vaccines to health workers across Montserrado County.
The decision of the Health ministry and the national public health institute to have health care givers vaccinated, comes barely weeks after neighboring Ivory Coast and Guinea reported Ebola virus cases.
Making the disclosure Thursday at the Ministry of Information press briefing, NPHIL expanded program immunization director Adolphus Clark noted that the expected vaccination exercise is aimed at curtailing the transmission of the virus into Liberia.
He said the process is expected to target about four thousand three hundred, thirty-nine health care workers including people living along the Ivorian border.
