Liberia 🇱🇷

Amidst political instabilities and controversies within the nation’s biggest opposition bloc, former Liberian Vice President and political leader of the United Party, Joseph Nyumah Boakai has finally announced the withdrawal of the party from the Collaborating Political Parties.

The shocking closure was made Wednesday by the party’s political leader at a major news conference in Monrovia.

Meanwhile, Joseph Boakai has expressed optimism that the Coalition for Democratic Change Government will be given a one term at the Liberian presidency in the creeping and most anticipated 2023 presidential and legislative elections.

However, many Liberians, including political pundits have been left in the state of uncertainty with the newest decision by the UP, something that speaks to apparently the impossibility or difficulty for any opposition political party to win the ruling CDC in 2023.
