Following months of legal fight, Supreme Court finally declares CPP Candidate, Simeon Taylor winner of the December 8, 2020 Special Senatorial Elections in Grand Cape Mount County.

Associate Justice Jamesetta Howard Wolokollie reading the judgment said the merits of the case was been dismissed on appeal; while ordering the National Elections Commission to certificate Taylor with full benefits as if he was seated in January 2021.

Justice Wolokollie explained that the complaint filed by CDC Senatorial Candidate, former Senator Victor Watson alleged that the CPP Candidate appeared twice on the FRR, in Tahn Town and Lofa Bridge as error on the part of NEC.

She maintained that former Senator Watson failed to establish proof of pre marked ballots, forgery of signatures on the senate record of count and the stopping of its poll watchers from entering the polling stations.

It can be recalled; that the Coalition of Democratic Change Candidate Victor Watson complained to the National Elections Commission of irregularities and frauds in the December 8, 2020 senatorial elections in Grand Cape Mount County against the CPP candidate, Simeon Taylor.

He complained that Simeon Taylor voted twice in the election and the prevention of his poll watchers in some polling places.

Meanwhile, Associate Justice Jamestta Howard Wolokollie has ordered the Clerk of Court to send a mandate to the National Elections Commission to resume jurisdiction and give effect to the judgment.
