Days after the 54th Legislature returned from their annual legislative break, Montserrado County Senator, Saah Joseph has blasted construction companies for reportedly abandoning road construction contracts given to them by national government in the county.

Giving his experience in the county during the break, Senator Joseph told his fellow legislators in Tuesday session that many roads are currently in deplorable conditions, especially in Electoral Districts # 17 and 11 in Montserrado respectively.

The CDC Lawmaker who however failed to name any of the contractors, further challenged Public Works Minister, Ruth Coker-Collins to swiftly make an intervention in the matters, terming as unfair for contractors to receive money from government but failed to do the work.

He also named bad road connectivity in Montserrado County as a major nightmare for the citizens of the county; something he said prompted him to have lobbed and made available one caterpillar for his people.

Meanwhile, Senator Saah Joseph has outlined the conditioning of over 20 roads in Electoral # 17 and at least 11 roads in Electoral # 11, Montserrado County as some key projects undertaken by his office during the break.
