REP. VICENT WILLIE BRINGS IN IRON CULVERT FOR BLEHZEE BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION

Wee District, Grand Bassa — A major bridge connecting over 70 towns in District #3, Grand Bassa and other towns in Nimba and Bong Counties, that was disconnected due to flood is about to get reconstructed .

The Blehzee bridge is located miles away from Wayzohn City in District #3, Grand Bassa County.

Commuters from towns and villages have been finding it very difficult to transport their goods to Buchanan and other parts of Liberia due to the damage bridge .

The deplorable condition of the bridge caused impediments for businesspeople using the route to transport their goods.

Currently, vehicles can’t access the road except for motorcycle riders who have to set their lives at risk to cross over the broken logs, which are serving as makeshift bridge.

Representative Vicent Willie upon hearing the news informed a local Media that he had been speaking with partners across the Country to intervene.

Willie’s statement is gradually turning to be real as coverts and other materials are currently being transported to Wee District to rebuild the Blehzee Bridge.

The bridge had was constructed with logs several years ago but the district Lawmaker Vicent Willie is for the first time about to change the log bridge to iron covert .

Willie posted on his official Facebook page saying “ We came to leadership with commitment, contacts, lobbying energy, love and care for the People of Wee Statutory District and the People of Bassa at large”.

He furthered “ few months ago, a MAJOR BRIDGE linking #3B & #3C, Wayzohn City, LAC and also connecting the Bong County got damaged due to the heavy rain fall. Sadly, commodities trade, transportation and basic social activities showed down”.

According to his post , he heard the voices of the people that they trusted his ability something that served as motivation for him to move beyond .

He said “ Agents of backwardness and opposition challenged Team Willie’s ability to have the bridge constructed but their plans failed, we are Master of the Game”.

Willie announced that the reconstruction of Blehzee Bridge will commerce on October 13,2021 .
