President Weah To Break Ground for Beach Sports Facility

The President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, will on Thursday, August 5, 2021, break ground for the construction of a beach sports facility near the Barclay Training Center in Monrovia.

The facility, when completed, will host a full outdoor gym, two football fields, two basketball courts, two volleyball courts, a restaurant and a children’s playground.

The United Arab Emirates, through the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), and the Government of Liberia have provided funding for the project.

The Beach Facility and many other UAE-funded projects are dividends of Liberia’s strong bilateral ties with the UAE.
