Police IG Sudue & Others Summoned

Criminal Court ‘C” Judge T. Ciapha Carey, has issued a Writ of Summon for the Inspector General of the Liberia National Police (LNP), Patrick Sudue, his special assistant, Montserrado County Attorney General and others have be identified by the Court for criminal contempt of court.

According to documents in the possession of YassNews/TV of the Republic of Liberia through the Sheriff of Criminal Court ‘C’ has been ordered to summoned IG Sudue, his special assistant, Montserrado County Attorney General and others to appear before the honorable Court on January 20, 2022, at 10AM.

The defendants were summoned based on a petition for the Writ of Habeas corpus filed by counsellors Momodu G. Kandakai that was served to IG Sudue and others, ordering them to bring forth a prisoner, Joe Young who was detained.

According to the Writ of Summon, IG Sudue, his special assistant, Attorney General for Montserrado County and others refused and neglected to abide by the Writ of Habeas corpus issued to them and as such as obstructed the functions of the court, subjecting it to public ridicule.
