Ministry of Education and Partners Hold Capacity Development Training …..Distribute 13 Motorbikes to

Monrovia, Liberia As education remains one of the essential priorities of the government, the Ministry of Education through the Division of Monitoring and Evaluation has concluded an intensive 5-day capacity development training on Routine Monitoring and Evaluation for County M&E Officers and Education Officers across the Country.

The workshop was climaxed with the distribution of 13 motorbikes to Monitoring Officers in the remaining Counties that didn’t receive during previous exercise.

The training which was held at the Golden Gate Hotel in Paynesville City, under the theme “Delivering Relevant Quality Education” was aimed at enhancing proficiency and efficiency in conducting routine monitoring and evaluation at various schools in Liberia. Issues highlighted during the training sessions include: *Monitoring and Evaluation framework *Data analysis and application processes *Usage of smartphone during Monitoring *Implementation of M&E plan and adjustment plan *Development of an indicator system and evaluation framework *Purpose of M&E plan *Information system ( data sources)

The Global Partnership for Education ( GPE) and UNICEF supported the distribution of the 13 Motorbikes to the County M&E Officers. Speaking during the presentation at a brief program held at the Ministerial Complex, Congo Town, the Minister of Education, Prof D. Ansu Sonii, Sr. reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to providing quality, accessible, professional and relevant education across the Country.

“The Ministry remains focused in working with development partners including GPE, UNICEF amongst others to ensure adequate effectiveness and productivity in the delivery of quality education to all Liberian students”, he added.
