LNP Forwards Jethro S. K. Harris to Court For False Public Alarm

The Liberia National Police has arrested, investigated, charged and forwarded a man identified as Jethro S. K. Harris to Court fo alleged false public Alarm and False Statement, which is in violation of section 17.4 of the revised Panel Code of the Republic of Liberia.

Suspect Harris has been posting and spreading photos of an autopsy body as well as other false information on facebook that the country is not safe and that people are dying as a result of ritualistic killing, thereby creating fear and panic in public.

According to Police investigative findings, the allegation of mysterious deaths in Liberia including allegation that the late Rolisa N. Gbeintor was murdered is false and misleading.

The Liberia National Police would like to make it emphatically clear that it is investigating alleged murder cases involving the late John P. Tubman of Sinkor, Matadi, Oretha Gbargbe of Caldwell and mob violence in Margibi County.

Meanwhile, the LNP would like to re-empasize that it will not relent to invite and prosecute if probable anyone or group of individuals that will engage in any act that will undermine the peace and security of the country.

The Liberia National Police urges members of the public to be proactive in providing useful information in order to aid Police investigations.
