Liberia’s president George M. weah has vow to prosecute anyone that will be found guilty in the allege missing of over $15bn. Liberian dollars. speaking on Sunday September 30, the Liberian leader said anyone that will be found guilty of the allege missing money will be prosecuted according to the laws of Liberia.
Meanwhile, The Liberian president also called on every citizen of the country to remain calm as the investigation team carry on their duty. President weah further said Liberian taking to the streets to protest can’t solve the problem but to give the investigators chance to do their job.
It can be record, that on Monday September 24, hundreds of Liberians under the banner Citizens united to bring our money back took the streets of Monrovia and it environs to protest for the allege missing of over $15 bn LD. The group also called on the International Community to hold back every aids from the government until the allege missing money has been returned .
At the same time time president George M. Weah was seen blasting at critics who he quoted, have said he does not know what a country’s GDP is. The Liberian President said, they that claim to know what a GDP is, served the country for 12 years but failed to developed the country, but he who they claim he don’t know what a GDP is is trying to develop the country.
It can also be record, that former president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf told the BBC on September 17, is like the president don’t know what a GDP is that is why he don’t want to publish a report she claimed the central Bank of Liberia has, a claimed that the Central bank have denied.
President George M. Weah spoke on Sunday September 30, at the Isaac Winker’s Global Ministry in Congo’s Town, when a service of thanksgiving was held on his behalf to appreciate God for bringing him savely from Washington, where he has gone to represent Liberia in the United Nation’s General Assembly.
