Government of Liberia Announces Immediate Reduction In Annual Registration Fees For Commercial Vehic

Amid reports of arbitrary hike in transportation fare across Liberia, Ministry of Transport announces immediate reduction in annual registration fees for Commercial vehicles; urges commercial drives to comply with upcoming regulations

According to the Ministry, the registration fee for taxi has been reduced from 190 United States Dollars to 75 U.S. Dollars while fees for commercial buses has been dropped from 250 United States Dollars to 150 United States dollars.

The Ministry also added that the registration fair of Tricycle has been minimized from 150 to 50 United States Dollars while the 25 United States dollars remains as registration fees for Motorbike.

Speaking to this station Thursday, Ministry of Transport Press and Public Affairs officer Lemuel Kleme asserted that the Ministry’s latest decision is aimed at easing the difficulties of transportation being faced by citizens in the country.
