Former RIA Indicted Managing Director Ellen Corkrum Pleads Guilty Of Stealing The US Government US$6 million Fund Intended For Covid-19 Loan .

The former Managing Director of RIA Madam Ellen Corkrum has pleaded guilty in the United States of America to stealing more than US$6 million in fraudulent COVID-19 relief loans.

According to report, the US$6 million under the Paycheck Protection Program was meant to help small businesses recover after the COVID-19 epidemic . Madam Corkrum now faces up to 30 years in prison and will subsequently be sentenced on January 4, 2022.

The State of Georgia Court document shows that Madame Corkrum applied for the COVID-19 loan under several companies with different names in Defrauding the United States Government.

Cable TV investigation uncovered that, the former airport managing Director legally changed her name ” Ellen Corkrum” in the US to “VanPelt” in July 2016.

Hunter Lauren VanPelt and Ellen Yabba Kwame Corkrum were her other names Cable TV has reliably learned. Reports say she submitted half of the fake PPP loans under the name Ellen Corkrum, which she continued to use despite the official name change, according to an investigation.

Corkrum, also a former U.S. military Black Hawk assault helicopter pilot, served as the managing director of the Liberia Airports Authority before clandestinely fleeing in the wake of an indictment by the Grand Jury of Montserrado County in 2013 on charges of economic sabotage, criminal facilitation, conspiracy to defraud the Liberian Government .
