CHINA, LIBERIA TO COLLABORATE ON CULTURAL PLANS THROUGH ARTS AND CRAFTS

CHINA – A group of Chinese fine artists Friday, September 24, 2021 paid a courtesy visit to the cultural department of the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia near Beijing to discuss future cultural plans and collaboration through arts and crafts.

According to the Office of the cultural attaché, Embassy of the Republic of Liberia near Beijing China, the group of ten presented their paintings individually which symbolizes China and Liberia’s friendship for a prosperous, peaceful collaboration between the two countries through arts and crafts.

On behalf of the cultural department, cultural attaché Mr. Jon Bricks received their cultural paintings and admonished them of the cultural department full commitment for future collaborations through the Embassy.

Mr. Bricks also encouraged the group to visit Liberia in the future and discover its amazing discoveries through arts , culture and tourism.

Also, during the meeting Mr. Bricks presented Mr. Zhou of shanxi province who is the oldest member of the group a sculpture of the Liberian traditional Gerbo wooden mask as a souvenir in respect of their visit.

Mr. Bricks also presented Liberian cultural bangles made from cow horns, wooden comb to the two women who were part of the group . He thanked the group for their visit and souvenirs.

First secretary and consul Mrs. Musu R. Massaquoi was also present at the meeting.
