Brownie Samuka Pleads For Ample Time To Comply With 50% Payment of AFL Misappropriated Salaries

Lofa County Senator-elect Brownie Samukai requests Criminal Court “C” Judge Osuman Feika for ample time to allow him comply with fifty percent Payment of the Armed Forces of Liberia misappropriated salaries.
According to a writ of enlargement filed on Friday, August 13, Samukai cited Covid-19, as an impediment to paying an amount of Five Hundred Seventy Three thousand-Eight hundred twenty eight United States Dollars, Seventeen cents.
Senator elect-Samukai through his legal Counsels is requesting the Court to grant him one year period beginning August 25, this year to comply with the Supreme Court’s mandate.
The Supreme Court of Liberia ruled in February this year, adjudging Samukai, his deputies, Joseph Johnson and Nyumah Dokor guilty of misappropriating the AFL salaries of more than one Million U.S. dollars, urging them to restitute Fifty percent in six Months or risk going to Jail.
