Borders Points Of Entries Are Secured As Liberia Immigration Services Expected To Digitized Visa And

Authorities of the Liberia Immigration Service say there is no need for Liberians to panic about the security of the country’s borders points stating that the LIS is in full control.

Speaking at the Ministry of Information regular press briefing on Thursday September 9, 2021, the workaholic Commissioner General Of the Liberia Immigration Service Col. Robert W. Budy Sr. assure the Liberian people not to panic on the ongoing situation in our neighboring Guinea, “you can go to bed safe and woke up the next morning and go about your normal business, your borders are secured our vigilant men and women in the security apparatus are on the alert” Col. Budy said.

Addressing the issue of illegal aliens that are doing illegal mining in the South Eastern region, Col. Budy sent out a strong warning to any aliens in the territorial boundary of Liberia (Liberians aiding and abiding aliens for labor) illegally to turn themselves over to the Liberia Immigration Service for the processing of their legal documents, “you are our ECOWAS neighbors, we are not stopping you from coming in but you have to come in legally, we have been deporting many of them and for the past months we have deported up to 30 persons” Col. Budy said.

Col. Budy went on to also broke the news of Liberia’s Immigration Services Visa and residents permit being digitized, “as we speak to you, for the first time in our nation’s history, Immigration Visa and residents permit will be digitized as of this month” Col. Budy said.
