BOAKAI DISCLOSES NEW POLITICAL PLATFORM : “ARTS”OUTLINES GOVERNMENT ALLEGE LAPSES

Former Vice President Joseph Nyumah Boakai has unveiled his new platform branded as “ARTS” (Agriculture, Roads, Tourism and Sanitation)
He stated that unlike his previous plan which was similar to the current government with focus on roads, he will endeavor to focus on these four pillars if elected President of Liberia to make the difference.
Speaking on a local radio in Monrovia, the former vice president stressed that agriculture is the pillar to fast development while Road is the machine that will drive the development of the Country forward.
As for tourism and Sanitation, he emphasized that they are the virgin golden mines that remained untapped and if utilized very well will take the Country to another level especially with beautification and the creation of more jobs for the young people among others.
He promised to work harder in order to sell his new political agenda to the Liberian people for the betterment of the Country
At the same, the former vice president named insecurity, untold hardship, Lawlessness and poor governance as lapses and current challenges the current government headed by President George Weah is allegedly struggling to address.
Ambassador Boakai claimed that insecurity is now the order of the day as there is no proper system for the rule of law as people are dying mysteriously.
“Everyone doing their own thing, police not been properly taken care of as such you hardly see them in the streets to do their job”, he asserted.
According to him the current governance system is not effective”, we are in serious trouble”, he emphasized.
The former Vice President who is opting to be Liberia’s next leader alleged that most of the government key positions are acting positions making specific reference to the Public works Ministry who has madam Ruth Coker Collins as acting Public Works minister who is currently leading a team of engineers in Lofa County to reconditioned deplorable roads in his County ahead of the President’s visit in early June of 2021.
He said giving hand full of job to very few people while bulk of the youthful population remained jobless is unfortunate adding that the City and its surrounding is also impacted with stock pile of dirt seen in many quarters.
Boakai who is the standard bearer of the opposition Unity Party is part of the collaborating political party (CPP) marriage who is yet to elect its flag bearer that will be the face for that political establishment ahead of the 2023 crucial election process.
