BASSA UNITED FRONT PROMISES TO DIE FOR THEIR RIGHTS, THREATENS PROTEST ACTION AGAINST ACELORMITTAL

Grand Bassa ( Sept. 3,2021 ) – The Founder of a group name and selfstyle the Bassa United Front for Positive Change says the group remains unbending and unwavering in their quest to demand Arcelor Mittal to live up to its mineral Development Agreement.

The group through its Lead Advocate Du-Ben Cleon and Founder Emmanuel Wragboe have stood their ground to exposed Arcelor Mittal’s inability to live up to the MDA.

But Mr. Emmanuel Wragboe in a Facebook post disclosed that they are prepared to be jailed, tearguided, beaten, dragged if Arcelor Mittal Liberia doesn’t respond promptly as to why there is a huge violation of the Minerial Development Agreement.

Mr. Wragboe claimed that since Arcelormittal Ultimatum ended on the 31st of August, 2021 and didn’t reach the citizens; therefore their next plan of action is on its way.

“The United Bassa Front for Positive Change remain resolute in championing this cause to the letter”, he added.

“You can send your proxy to fight once 90% of our people support this cause and stand by us, we will do it together again”he said.

The Founder Bassa United Front for Positive Change warned Mittal not to underestimate the tiredness of the Bassa people as serious action is pending.

“Our issue is policy issue for which we are not begging Arcelor mittal because the MDA has been bridged.”he explained.

He highlighted AML inability to Construct hospital, primary and secondary school, training people to take managerial post, job creation and many more, as a violation of the MDA.

“You can fight back if you say these mentioned are not law or haven’t been broken”he noted.

The Son of Bassa maintained that Arcelor Mittal was demolishing solid homes contructed by LIMCO just to be replaced with prefabricated buildings.

“What we can assure the public is, we will have one of the best peaceful sit in actions in Bassa” he concluded.
