Reports reaching WEST COAST TV says protesters believed to be supporters of Senator-elect Brownie Samukai early Thursday morning stormed three cities simultaneously in what they believe is an unfair and unjust treatment being carried on by the government against Lofa County by refusing to certificate Mr. Samukai since the midterm election in December 2020.
According to the report in Voinjama, the protesters violently locked the Superintendent Office and are demanding that, until Samukai is certificated, the County Superintendent will not enter to carry on government work.

Phoning in on a local radio early Thursday morning, Lofa lone Senator at the Liberian Senate, Senator Zargo consented to news about the protest actions across the county and said stakeholders like him and other prominent sons and daughters are doing everything to calm the tension.
The Superintendent of Lofa, William Tamba Tamba also phoned in and admitted that protesters have besieged the Superintendent Compound and his official office was locked by angry protesters but he was engaged with them for peaceful remedy.
The strike action across Lofa is of thr result of Government’s refusal to certificate Mr. Brownie Samukai who won as Senator of Lofa since December 2020 but has been embroiled in couple of legal battle including misappropriating over half a million United States dollars when he served as Defence Minister during Madam Sirleaf regime.
